Description
Santa Cristina – Devotion, determination and certainty in one’s conduct. This oil takes its name from the town of Santa Cristina which isn’t far from the company mill. The town houses a small, rural church built in the first decades of the last century by the Bonarcadese to honor the Saint and continue the cult that was previously practiced at the more famous site of Santa Cristina of Paulilatino (part of the possessions of the minor Basilica of Santa Maria until a few years earlier). While not equaling the historical and cultural importance of the previous site, this place testifies to the strength, devotion and union of a community that like the saint, did not renounce its faith despite adversity.
